It was cloudy, the forecast was for moderate rain, but it didn't fall
after all, and it was hot and muggy.
The weather in Wuhan can be simply divided into cold days and hot
days. Cold days are cloudy, and hot days are hot and muggy. It's cold to
the bone and hot to the point that people can't breathe. In winter, the
northerners feel that Wuhan's weather is even colder than the northern
area of China, and in summer, the city is like a giant furnace. Today in
Wuhan, there is a stuffy atmosphere.
People of Wuhan have a relatively hot temper, love to quarrel, and
they like to hold as a group to exclude and bully the outsiders. That makes
people feel very unreasonable. The reputation of the Wuhan people is not
very good however, this does not mean that the people of Wuhan do not
have advantages. During the Xinhai Revolution and Wuchang Uprising,
Wuhanese from all walks of life, men, women and children, spared efforts
to support the new army and advocate the new constitution, without fear
of the Qing court's reckoning, leaving a splendid legacy in the modern
history of China and making the world to look at them. So, you can't
simply judge a place as good or bad. People and cities are specific and
can't be just categorized as good or bad.
The important indicators of the outbreak notification continue to
be cleared. Although there is some debate, it is explained in Fang's diary,
and I believe its truthfulness. A very good friend of mine said Fang's diary
was not very impressive initially, but later the author became more serious
and wrote with soul. Words with soul will allow the author and the reader
to breathe together, to face the challenges of life together. So now Fang
Fang's diary has become a symbol and a landmark for the people of
Wuhan. It is not a marginal voice as described by Hu Xijin, the editor-inchief of Global Times. The editor of Global Times sometimes comes out
to make things easier, making people feel sorry for him. Of course, as

always, things in China are very complicated. But I agree with the writer
of the article who supports Fang Fang's diary. One of the paragraphs is
particularly good and reveals a certain message: "Scholars can no longer
be back down and leave the future of China in the hands of the far left,
who manipulate certain departments of the country in the name of the
public's willingness." Scholars do not necessarily have to support me, but
they should express their views against the far left and tell the public some
common sense. This passage reflects the harsh reality we are facing and
conveys the urgent call of most educated people. I think this is even more
important than the current pandemic, which will determine the fate of
future generations.
Anyone familiar with the history of the Cultural Revolution and the
history before it must understand the left and right concepts that mark
China's political ecology. If we use winter and summer as a comparison,
leftism is like the winter of Chinese politics. Whenever far leftism prevails,
as a cold wind sweeps through the land of China, the economy collapses,
and people suffer. Then the rightists will appear as a savior of the country
from falling apart. But the good times of its people did not last long. The
far-left set of minds will rise again. The left and right are like a magic spell,
which makes us fall into the cycle of rising and fall, echoing the rise and
fall of ancient Chinese dynasties. I think this is the reason why China's
fate is always so alarming and worrying. Breaking this cycle and lifting
this spell will begin a true renaissance for the Chinese nation. In my
opinion, the so-called national rejuvenation is not about becoming the
powerhouse that some people are clamoring for, nor is it about
determining the world's landscape, nor is it about accomplishing any
special mission. It is simply about bringing the nation to the normal path
of civilization, returning the people to common sense, and allowing every
Chinese to work for their own goals with dignity and freedom under the
protection of the law or not to work at all, of course. That's all. In a
nutshell, let our country and every citizen live a normal life and let every
person become an independent, autonomous, concrete person in the true

sense of the word, not just a screw in a machine. But how to do that, I
don't know.
As more and more people return to work in Wuhan, the Hankou
train station is being sanitized to prepare for the resumption of operations,
and some city buses are said to be operating soon. I think everyone in
Wuhan is as anxious as I am to see the day when life returns to normal.
